Tiffany
Family is everything to Tiffany. She has been married for 19 years and has two sons, age 10 and 5. Her favorite pastimes include being with family and cross-stitch. She loves her job as a school librarian at Crestwood Intermediate School in Mantua.
Tiffany found a lump in her right breast and was diagnosed with stage 2 triple-positive breast cancer on May 5, 2023. She had 6 months of chemotherapy, followed by a double mastectomy that December.
At the time, her focus was on getting better but later decided to have breast reconstruction with a DIEP flap. Her reconstruction was in July of 2024, with a revision to her DIEP flap a year later.
“I wanted smaller boobs and to remove my ‘shelf’ from having kids,” she says. Tiffany is thrilled with the results and always jokes that she got a free tummy tuck and a boob job.
She is walking the Pink Runway to spread awareness and is grateful for her surgeon, Dr. Daniel Yoho.
She says, “I am always praising Dr. Yoho. He goes above and beyond and is the absolute best. I’m so grateful for the village that surrounds me. I was blessed with the best family and amazing support system.”
Tiffany also offers this advice for other women facing breast cancer: “Stay positive and do not give up. No two journeys are the same, but I do believe that a positive attitude and trust in God will get you through it.”
