Stephanie
Stephanie wants to make as many memories as possible with her family and friends. This includes the love of her life, her husband of 26 years, the 4 sons they share between them, and 2 grandsons.
Stephanie was diagnosed with stage 2B, grade 3 invasive ductal carcinoma in January 2022. She also tested positive for the BRCA gene. Her treatment included a double mastectomy and lymph node removal, chemotherapy, radiation, 3 years of targeted therapy, a full hysterectomy, and endocrine therapy. In 2025, she had a DIEP flap with Dr. Daniel Yoho.
“I cannot say enough about Dr. Yoho and his staff. He is absolutely amazing and changed my life,” she says.
Prior to her reconstruction, Stephanie didn’t like looking in the mirror. She wanted to feel like herself again.
She says, “I knew they were my battle scars and proof of how strong I was, but I wanted to feel confident again in any small way. This gave me the boost and confidence I needed, beyond my expectations!”
She is honored to the walk Pink Runway for several reasons—to celebrate how strong she is and how far she has come. To share her story and provide hope to her fellow Pink Sisters. And to thank her family, friends, and amazing husband for their support.
Stephanie says, “Their love and gentle pushes kept me going when things got really hard, and they reminded me who I was. I walk to honor them and to say, ‘thank you!’”
