Gabrielle
In 2013, Gabrielle married Kevin, the love of her life. She pours her heart into her home and family. During cancer, her faith in God was her anchor, and the unshakable support from Kevin and her family got her through.
In 2025, Gabrielle found a lump in her breast, which led to an early diagnosis of ductal carcinoma in situ, stage 0 cancer. She had a skin-sparing mastectomy.
At the time of her reconstruction with Dr. Daniel Yoho, she just wanted to survive breast cancer, make it through the operation, and look normal. “I was holding onto the hope of a better tomorrow,” Gabrielle says.
While she struggled with facing breast cancer at such a young age, in hindsight, she recognizes that the hardest chapter in her life made her stronger. She is grateful to God for seeing her through and to Dr. Yoho and his team, who treated her with compassion and respect.
“They shared hope and kindness when I felt hopeless,” she says.
Gabrielle advises other women to learn about the options for reconstruction and do what is right for you. You are the one who will live in your body!
She walks the Pink Runway in victory—a reminder that cancer didn’t win and there is abundant life after diagnosis and reconstruction. That is a victory worth celebrating!
