Ashley
Ashley’s passions include her friends and family, health and fitness, being a foodie, and diving into a good book. She’s been married for 9 years and is a proud mom of 3.
In March 2024, while training for a half marathon, Ashley noticed a lump in her chest. She was diagnosed with invasive ductal carcinoma, stage 2B, and had a bilateral, nipple-sparing mastectomy.
Reconstruction helped restore her sense of normalcy after such a difficult chapter. She will be forever thankful for Dr. Lewis Diulus and his team—for their kindness, expertise, and reassurance, which helped turn a negative situation into a positive one.
Ashley says, “This diagnosis can feel like so much is taken away. Reconstruction reminded me the story doesn’t have to end there. You can rediscover a new you, gain confidence, and restore your hope in the future.”
She saw the Pink Runway as an opportunity to step out of her comfort zone, try something new, and celebrate her body. She says, “I didn’t want my journey to be simply about survival, but rather inspiration, resilience, and continued growth.”
She advises women on a similar journey to give themselves A LOT of grace, adding, “There’s no ‘right way’ to navigate this journey. Ask the questions. Explore your options and make decisions that are best for you!”
