NOW THERE'S A BETTER SOLUTION FOR UNWANTED HAIR

Crystal Plastic Surgeons is pleased to offer LightSheer laser hair removal to our patients.

In the past, the usual remedies for unwanted hair were plucking, shaving, waxing or chemical depilatories. Some are painful, some are messy and all are temporary. Electrolysis is popular for long-term hair removal, but this technique can be slow and uncomfortable.

Recent advances in lasers have created a new, exciting technology for permanent hair removal called LightSheer. LightSheer™ Diode Laser is the world’s most advanced treatment designed to comfortably, quickly and affordably remove unwanted hair — great news for women and men, young and old, who want to get rid of excess hair!

If you’re interested in getting rid of unwanted hair, let Crystal Plastic Surgeons show you how to remove it — permanently!

Understanding Laser Treatments
A laser produces a beam of highly concentrated light. LightSheer uses gentle laser pulses to deliver a high energy beam to the hair follicle for a fraction of a second. Absorption of this energy destroys or damages hair follicles to eliminate or significantly impede the hair’s regrowth.

Unlike electrolysis, which involves careful insertion of a needle into each and every hair follicle, the LightSheer laser treats multiple follicles with each pulse. The result is much quicker treatment, leaving you more free time to do the things you really enjoy doing!

Are Treatments Safe?
LightSheer treatments are administered by highly trained professionals whose primary concerns are your safety and comfort. Your treatment safety is enhanced by additional precautionary measures, such as the use of protective eyewear. As with almost any medical treatment, some side effects are possible. However, extensive clinical experience with the LightSheer demonstrates that side effects are mild and infrequent.

How Does It Feel — Is It Painful?
“I could feel something was happening, but it wasn’t painful at all.”

LightSheer laser treatments provide a comfortable way of getting rid of unwanted hair through advanced ChillTip technology. It makes treatments more comfortable, faster and more efficient. As its name implies, the ChillTip cools the skin in the region being treated. This counteracts the inherent heat of the laser pulse, yielding dramatically improved comfort during treatment.

During treatment you may experience a slight tingling sensation. After treatment you may experience a slight amount of swelling and the feel of a mild sunburn. Most people return to normal activity right away. When discomfort does occur it is typically reported to be far less than the discomfort caused by waxing, electrolysis and other hair removal techniques.

We will be happy to tell you more about your treatment and what you can expect during your consultation.

Is Permanent Hair Removal Right for Me?
“Of all the methods I this lasted longer and it didn’t give me any ingrown hairs!”

When darker, coarser hair appears in places we don’t like or expect — like on the face, neck, abdomen, breasts, arms or underarms — or prevents us from wearing a high-cut bathing suit, shorts or even a short skirt, it may be time to consider permanent hair removal.

LightSheer works very efficiently on a wide range of skin tones and complexions. So if you have unwanted hair that you would like to get rid of permanently, then chances are that LightSheer is definitely for you!

How Long Will The Procedure Take?
“With permanent hair removal, I don’t waste time shaving my legs anymore!”

The length of time required for your treatment ranges from a few minutes to an hour or so depending on the part of the body being treated. Because the laser tends to treat hair follicles that are in an active growth phase, more than one treatment may be required to disable hair follicles that subsequently enter this growth phase. Generally, you will require fewer treatments of shorter duration than you might require with other hair removal techniques.
